What is Platinum shirt service?
Platinum is our specialized process that uses an enzyme based detergent with optical brighteners. Our ph balanced detergent removes soils and stains without extreme temperatures and abrasion, thus your shirts are whiter and brighter without the chance for shrinkage.
What is different about your starch?
We cook fresh starch each and every day so that you experience consistency every time. You will notice the difference with our cooked starch. Your sleeves and body will have a silky smooth finish while your collar and cuffs will be crisp and smooth, just the way you like it. How long can I expect a shirt to last?
Industry experience shows that, on average, shirts have a two-year wear life expectancy. However the number of laundering is a better measuring method. The average shirt should have a wear life of 35 to 50 washings. This can vary depending on the amount of abrasions and strain placed on a shirt during wear, the fiber content, the type of fabric, and the laundering procedure.
Buttons may crack during the pressing process. The majority of buttons are made from a polyester resin. The strength of the buttons depends on the amount of polyester in the resin; some importers use off-quality buttons.
Off quality buttons do not meet the requirements in one or all of the following criteria; color, visual inclusions, chips or cracks, and uniformity of size. Manufactures use these off-quality buttons to save money, but this results in higher than average breakage.
We do our utmost to replace all missing and cracked buttons free of charge as part of our normal service.
Why do all the buttons on my shirt crack at the same time?
Many people think that the dry cleaner did something wrong when multiple buttons break on their shirts. What is actually happening is that all the buttons are "aging" at the same time and breaking at the end of their serviceable life. Many customers also will buy a few shirts at the same time and then wear and launder them at the same interval. Doing this helps keep even wear on your shirts but when buttons start breaking on one shirt they will probably start breaking on all of the same "aged" shirts. It is not a bad day at the cleaners it is just father time on polyester resin. If this is happening then your actually getting good even wear from your shirts.
